The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the oil warning light frequently blinked on the instrument panel. The contact called an independent mechanic who inspected the vehicle. The mechanic discovered that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where an oil consumption test was performed, and an engine cleaning was performed to correct the failure. Despite the repair, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.
