While driving on highways, passenger door will suddenly partially unlatch and open door warning tone and advisory displays on the dash. I must pull over in order to open and reclose the door. First event was several months ago and I assumed it was an isolated event. It has increased in frequency to at least once a week. The door is closed and locked yet it comes partially unlatched and seems to only occur at highway speeds between 60mph and 75mph. Highly distracting when driving on interstate highway and I am unsure if it comes unlatched all the way since I have not had a passenger when this occurs. Poses safety hazard both as distraction and unsafe door lock.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2019 Ford Mustang verdict →
