THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION IN A SCHOOL ZONE OF 35 MPH ON A STREET. IT HAD A FRONT END IMPACT, WHICH IT REAR-ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT OF IT AND THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE AIRBAG BY THE FEET, DEPLOYED A PIECE OF METAL OR PLASTIC AND BLEW THROUGH THE CALF DOWN TO THE BONE. THE WOUND WAS 4-5 INCHES IN LENGTH AND REQUIRED 13 STITCHES. THERE WAS BARELY ANY DAMAGE TO THE CAR AND THERE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN A HOLE BLOWN THROUGH THE LEG. I THINK THESE AIRBAGS NEED TO BE RECALLED AS THEY ARE DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2019 Chevrolet Spark verdict →
