At highway speed of 65 MPH, passenger-rear tire started to make slight thumping sound. After a few minutes, it became much louder. I pulled off the road to investigate and found that treads were completely delaminating from tire. Tire was inflated to 74 psi and they have always been properly maintained. Only 24,000 miles on tire (vehicle purchased new in Feb, 2019). No injuries but had I not pulled over right away, there is no doubt that a blowout would have occurred with potentially devastating consequences. The vehicle is a 2018 Nissan Titan XD, Platinum Reserve, purchased at Baxter, Nissan of Bellevue, Nebraska.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2018 Nissan Titan verdict →
