My engine is under a million mile warranty because it burns 1qt oil/1,000 miles. My engine burns just under 2 quarts of oil about 800 miles. For long trips, this is very unsafe because my engine is going seize or burnout on the highway at some point. This will put my life and possibly that of other drivers at significant risk.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2018 Kia Optima Phev verdict →
