TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD, THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED SAFELY OFF THE ROADWAY. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. ON THE FIRST OCCASION, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LEE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (765 CENTER ST, AUBURN, ME 04210) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE THROTTLE IGNITION COIL AND THE FUEL FILTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ADDITONALLY, AFTER A SECOND FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HERB CHAMBERS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT OF MILLBURY (2 LATTI FARM RD RTE. 20, MILLBURY, MA 01527), BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AUTOSTAR CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF HENDERSONVILLE (401 DUNCAN HILL RD, HENDERSONVILLE, NC 28792) TO BE INSPECTED; HOWEVER, NO FAILURES WERE DISCOVERED. AFTER AN ADDITIONAL FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DANBURY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT (100B FEDERAL RD, DANBURY, CT 06810) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 18,000.
