To the highway safety I would like to inform that I purchased a 2018 honda accord and it has been nothing but a nightmare and safety issue for me and my family. What happens is the car at random times will turn on the cmbs system basically when that happens it is hard to brake or even control the car all lights on the dashboard panel light up honda says it’s just bc we the people don’t understand the function and how it works but that is not the case on social media places like websites and ticktock you can see videos of the issues and no one cares how is it okay for honda to sell a car that brakes randomly or tells you to brake when no cars in front or even when there is but it’s a decent speed where you have space please I have read and read news and every time I see a honda I think bet it was a cmbs issue please please have them fix it it’s dangerous . This happens at random times sometimes no cars even on the road when I take it to Honda each time basically all they do is reset it by turning battery of what !!!! That’s dangerous please help

Has happened 6 times since purchase. Been to dealer 2 times and problem has not been addressed. They only fixed recall on fuel pump. Took it to dealer we purchased it from and they didn't do anything to fix problem.

Braking system engaged while driving, slamming on brakes for no reason within first 6 months of having purchased my 2018 Honda Accord EX. While driving the car on a normal highway with no cars in front of me, the car suddenly brakes and then the brake releases. The car came to a complete stop for no reason while driving around 55-60mph on the highway with no cars in front of me or to the sides. I couldn't get the brake pedal up off the floor of the car. After about 5 seconds, the brakes finally released, and I was able to drive again. Took car to Princeton, NJ Honda Service Department and they tried to readjust the front facing camera and the radar system. They said that it was misaligned or had been misaligned due to possible damage from a rock kicking up from road. Car was okay for about a week and then was slammed suddenly to hard brake in middle of road while driving again on highway, around 45mphs. Car was bought back to Honda dealership, and the service department solution to problem was to order a new front camera unit and replace the radar unit. New Camera Parts were on backorder, with over a 2 week wait for parts to deliver to dealership. Princeton Honda provided a loaner vehicle while awaiting parts and then repairs. Was without my new car for over 2 and half weeks. Have had no such issues with braking system since replacement and repair of a front camera and radar unit.

My collision mitigation braking system is automatically braking on me with nothing in front of me going high rated speeds on the interstate. I have chronic migraines and neck issues that also have been being treated on a very consistent basis. I brought it in numerous times. I have appointment documents from dealership stating these issues, with no solution. Today it happened again severely and it was harsher than normal, scaring my 3 kids. I have had enough. My 2018 Honda According Touring 1.5 Liter Turbo has an intermittent problem with the vehicle’s warning alerts. The vehicle systems affected include Adaptive Cruise Control, Vehicle Emission System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Vehicle Stability Assistance, Hill Start Assist, Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Blind Spot Info System, and Collision Mitigation System. When I checked online for other 2018 Accords with a similar problem and found numerous cases. The most commonly recommended corrective action was to replace the battery. I tried that. It corrected the problem for two months, but the same multiple systems failure displays have occurred again. Interestingly, none of the systems that could be independently checked (e.g., brakes and TPMS) showed any indication of actually malfunctioning. There are multiple cases online, reported by 2018 Accord owners, of receiving different explanations from Honda dealers as to the cause of the malfunction from rodent damage to problems with the turbocharger. Several people reported paying for repairs that did not correct the problem or did so only temporarily.

my car has been severely malfunctioning due to the fuel pump recall. I have had to avoid several accidents due to the loss of power at high speeds, stalling, and sputtering. My car started experiencing these issues last December and I was told by Honda to take it in to be diagnosed (which I did), and then I was told there was no fix or parts at that time because it was due to a faulty fuel pump. I parked the car and I had to find rides to work until I was unable to, so I had to start back driving the vehicle. The issue became severe again about a week ago. My car completely stalled and would not accelerate at all at a traffic light. I proceeded to turn on my hazards and call for assistance while turning the car off. Eventually the car was able to be moved after about 20 mins of being powered off. Luckily, I wasn't far from my home, I turned on the hazards and slowly made it home and parked the car. I'm currently afraid to continue to drive the vehicle because of safety concerns for myself as well as other drivers on the road. My car stalls, shuts off, will not start back up, and sputters, and all of the lights on the dash are on. The first incident I was almost hit by another driver because of the loss of power. I have reached how to Honda several of times and had the car diagnosed and done everything I was asked to do but I am still being given the "run around" and they do not seem to be making this a priority matter. This is my only car, and it has been a major inconvenience for me as well as been very unsafe for me to operate my vehicle and I still do not feel they have any plans to resolve this matter anytime soon.

While riding down the interstate the automatic braking system slammed on the brakes. There was a semi truck in the lane beside me and for some reason it just applied the brakes and flashed the automatic brake warning sign while using the cruise control. The last time this happened there was no one close to me and the same thing happened.
