THIS IS THE SECOND OCCURRENCE OF THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR OPENING WHILE MY CAR WAS IN MOTION. DURING THIS OCCURRENCE, WITHIN A COUPLE MINUTES OF STARTING THE CAR AND DRIVING, FIRST THROUGH A PARKING LOT, AND THEN TURNING RIGHT AND ACCELERATING ON A STREET, AT APPROXIMATELY 15-20 MPH THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR OPENED BY ITSELF. NO ALARMS, TONES OR WARNING LIGHTS WERE PRESENT UNTIL THE DOOR OPENED ON ITS OWN.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2018 BMW 5 Series Hybrid Sedan Phev verdict →
