GLASS SPONTANEOUSLY CRUMBLED AND SHATTERED ON REAR PASSENGER DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT HOME IN MY DRIVEWAY. WE WERE GETTING INTO THE VEHICLE AS USUAL IN THE MORNING TO LEAVE FOR THE DAY. THE DOOR WAS NOT SLAMMED, THERE WERE NO VISIBLE CRACKS, SCRATCHES, OR CHIPS ON THE GLASS. NO VISIBLE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE OR BLUNT OBJECTS IN THE AREA THAT WOULD INDICATE FOUL PLAY. WE COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING THAT WOULD EXPLAIN SUCH A RANDOM BREAKING OF THE GLASS. MY DAUGHTER SUSTAINED MINOR CUTS ON HER LEG FROM THE GLASS FALLING INTO THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT. FIRST AID WAS GIVEN, BUT NO IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NECESSARY.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander verdict →
