12/08/22 My breaks malfunctioned prior to impact i could not stop and i rear ended another car the other persons car wasn't nearly as bad as mine ..my outlander however is totaled. even though i was only doing 30. they were replaced in September 2022 as well but the problem had happened a few times before but i didn't know if there was a recall on it until now . and i have also had my engine stall on a few occasions for no reason. im very disappointed . had my breaks not malfunctioned id still have my car

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS MERGING INTO TRAFFIC, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THEN TOWED TO GMC MOSSES (5200 ROUTE 60 EAST, HUNTINGTON, WV, 877-332-3584). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS BY THE INSURANCE AGENCY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE PERFORMED AS DESIGNED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATED TO 90 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN, BUT THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED. TO AVOID CRASHING INTO A MOTORCYCLE, THE CONTACT HAD TO SWERVE TO THE LEFT AND CRASHED INTO A CURB AND FIRE HYDRANT. THE VEHICLE THEN WENT AIRBORNE INTO A CANAL. THE BRAKE PEDAL CONNECTION DETACHED.
