TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2018 (NA) MERCEDES-BENZ GL450. AFTER ARRIVING HOME AND PARKING THE VEHICLE, IT SPONTANEOUSLY CAUGHT FIRE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT LOT. THE CONTACT CALLED FLAGSHIP MOTORCARS OF LYNNFIELD NORTH (385 BROADWAY RTE. 1, LYNNFIELD, MA 01940, (781) 596-9700) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
