THE BREAK PADS TO MY 2017 LEXUS RC 200T ARE GRINDING INTO MY ROTORS. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE LEXUS DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES (4) AT FIRST I WAS FORCED TO PAY FOR THE ISSUE, WITH THE DEALER MAKING A RIDICULOUS CLAIM THAT A SMALL PEBBLE JUMPED IN BETWEEN MY BREAK PAD AND ROTORS. THE SECOND TIME THEY TOOK RESPONSIBILITY AND FILED A GOODWILL CLAIM AND REPLACED BRAKES AND DISCS. THIRD TIME THEY COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, REPLACED BREAKS AND DISCS. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER FOR THE SAME THING. I'VE TOLD THEM THAT THEIR BREAK PAD SUPPLIER HAS GOT TO BE THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE TECHNICIANS FIND THAT THE BREAK PADS HAVE LARGE METAL SHARDS WITHIN THE BREAK PAD WHICH KEEP GRINDING INTO THE DISCS RESULTING IN VERY UNSAFE BREAKING PERFORMANCE. I WASN'T GOING TO FILE THIS CLAIM SINCE THEY ARE VERY NICE ABOUT TRYING TO RESOLVE MY PROBLEM BUT TODAY I RECEIVED A CALL THAT SOUNDED SHADY WITH THE FIRST THING BEING SAID THAT THIS WASN'T A SAFETY ISSUE OR CONCERN BECAUSE THE CAR STILL STOPS AS INTENDED, WELL, THAT'S BOGUS. A VEHICLE BRAKES SHOULDN'T BE FORCED TO GRIND INTO THE DISCS IN ORDER FOR IT TO STOP SAFELY. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2017 Lexus Rc200t verdict →
