TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED, BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE DROVE OVER A CURB, DOWN AN EMBANKMENT, AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED: P180531234. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,000.
