was driving and pulling in next to garage heard a loud pop and brake pedal when hard and could not stop the car and hit the side of the garage . safty issue is if i was at a higher speed and light turns red would not have been able to stop the car and would have hit another car or person , there was no warning lights on till after the pop when the red brake light came on, and said service eltric brakes it has been looked at by me and it has the same iisues that the dodge dart had for the recall r63 with the brake booster geting oil in it from the vacuum tube assembly have called chrysler and they said it is not and issue but it is a safty issue

I believe the brake or something related to the brakes failed. I ran a stop sign, with no evidence of brake marks on the road. I crossed over a highway hit a side walk almost hit a house. The safety of myself and others was at extreme danger. When finally came to a stop I couldn't put my car in Park, or back in drive or shut my car off, i beleive i had no braking or something electrical failed. My car is totaled. The only light on was the airbag light before the accident.

WHILE IN MOTION THE PARKING BREAK CAN ENGAGE AT ANY SPEED AND IT'S PLACEMENT ON THE CAR ITSELF IS DANGEROUS AND JERKS THE CAR IF PRESSED WHILE MOVING THEREFOR COULD CAUSE EXTREME HARM. FOR THE SAFETY OF MYSELF, ANY OR ALL PASSENGERS, OR DRIVERS NEARBY, IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT IT NEEDS TO BE MOVED TO A LOCATION THAT ISN'T NOT EASILY REACHABLE AND ALSO NOT ALLOWED TO EVEN REMOTELY ENGAGE WHILE MOVING. I ONLY OCCURRED WHIPLASH AND MY FAST THINKING AND LUCK OF HAVING THE ROOM TO SLOW DOWN, BUT OTHERWISE IT IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS AND IT SHOULD NEVER ENGAGE U LESS THE BRAKES ARE BEING PRESSED AND DEFINITELY NOT AT SPEEDS UP TO OR OVER THE SPEED LIMITS.

TL* THE CONTACT RENTED A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE PARKING BRAKE ERRONEOUSLY ACTIVATED. THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING AND CRASHED INTO A SECOND VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL, THIS NEW CAR IS A 2016 200S WITH5000 MILES. THIS CAR CAUSED A ACCIDENT ON 02/09/16 WHEN THE FRONT BRAKES LOCKED UP AT 50 MILES AN HOUR. SENDING THE DRIVER INTO A LIGHT POLE. WHEN THE VEHICLE HIT THE POLE THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY FROM THE STEERING. THE AIR BAGS OVER ALL DOORS DID DEPLOY AND THE AIR BAGS ON THE SIDE OF THE FRONT SEAT DID DEPLOY BUT NEVER THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG. THE BRAKES ARE FAULTY AND HAVE GONE ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WHEN PRESSING ON THE BRAKE. BY PUMPING THE BRAKES THE BRAKE WOULD WORK. WHEN THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED THE DRIVER PRESSED THE BRAKE TO TURN A CORNER BUT RATHER THAN THE VEHICLE SLOWING DOWN THE BRAKES LOCKED DOWN IN FRONT AND SENT THE VEHICLE ACROSS THE ROAD INTO A LIGHT POLE.
