Experienced loss of electric power steering while driving at 60 MPH on interstate. Had 6 passengers in vehicle at the time and could have crashed if another vehicle was in other lane next to us during steering loss. Steering available for inspection. Have taken vehicle to dealer to fix issue. They diagnosed and replaced Negative and Positive wiring harness to battery; however, vehicle steering loss occurred again right after picking up and is back at dealership now. Sent dealer article about other owners of 2015-2017 Cadillac Escalade experiencing same issue to help explain steering issue. Also sent video of steering glitching while driving back to dealership. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior, during, or after failure known.

While I was driving the car turned off and the steering wheel got really hard, making it harder to get out of the road to keep my children safe since we were in the highway. Second time it happened the stabilitrack service message came up, and also the steering assist is reduced please drive with care. The ebrake. ABS and stabilitrack light on the dash turned on. This started happening on may 14 until present

CAR HAS WHAT IS CALLED THE "CHEVY SHAKE" WHICH EFFECTS ALMOST ALL MODELS FROM 2015-2017. CAR SHAKES VIOLENTLY AT TIMES. PAID FOR REPAIRS. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS IT IS WITH OTHER ESCALADE MODELS AND GM MODELS OF THE SAME CHASSIS..CAR HAS EXTREME RUMBLE AT TIMES AND IS DIFFICULT TO STEER. WHILE IN MOTION AT SPEEDS OF 45-70 THIS HAPPENS.

TOOK CAR IN FEB 2019 TO REPAIR TORQUE CONVERTER. WAS REPLACED AND NOW IS BACK TO SHAKING AT RANDOM TIMES. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS CADILLAC HAS NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH POWERTRAIN ON ESCALADES FROM 2015-17.

MY VEHICLE PULLS TO THE LEFT AGGRESSIVELY NONE STOP AND ITS BAD ENOUGH TO WERE YOU TAKE YOUR EYES FOR A SECOND TO LOOK AT THE FUEL GAUGE AND YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OTHER LANE. THE CADILLAC DEALERSHIP HAS PERFORMED WORK ON IT AND REPLACED PARTS,IN A FEW WORDS THEY TOLD ME..WE HAVE DONE OUR BEST. AS OF TODAY 5/29/2017 I AM STILL FIGHTING WITH MY STEERING TO KEEP MY VEHICLE IN LANE. THANKS FOR LOOKING INTO THIS.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2016 Cadillac Escalade Iql verdict →
