I was in a car accident, I rear ended a vehicle. The other vehicle was stopped, I did not break at all and ran into them. My airbags did not deploy & there was substantial damage to my vehicle (deemed totaled by insurance assessor). My safety was put at risk as I sustained whiplash (whiplash resulted in neck pain day(s) following and bruising on my upper legs. When the assessor reached out to me, he stated that the air bags should have deployed and seemed to be a malfunction.

Failure of transmission control module Description fits exact diagnosis in recall. Check transmission light on at 45,000 miles. Andy Mohr wants money to inspect it. I an more than willing to if they will inspect it for free but it is not drivable. If they would come pick it up I would be happy to let them drive it all they want. The problem came with no warning on the Highway. car wouldn’t no longer switch to second gear. Purchased at Andy Mohr Honda in Bloomington at 17,000 miles off lease from some someone who barely drove it. Certified Preowned by Honda. Paid in full, feel ripped off. Yes, available for inspection on request No warning: transmission complete failure 2015 Silver Honda Civic Has been discussed with mechanics at Curry Buick in.Bloomington as well as our Winslow marathon which has great mechanics, they told me to contact you. The issue according to the NTHSB is the “TCM” or transmission control module. resulting in cars wheels locking up, or spinning out of control and not changing gears (this is what happened to me and repeated itself when I waited a week and tried driving around my neighborhood ) the issue is supposed to result in transmission and Powertrain failure, making engine wanting to redline very easily. I’m lucky I didn’t burn my engine up. I didn’t purchase a car in 2018 at 17,000 miles and expect the transmission to fall out at 45,000 miles. That’s unacceptable and I was never notified, and Andy mohr purports that my vehicle was either serviced or software changed resulting in no issue, however a transmission dying at 45,000 mi on a Honda Civic is not right and I suspect Honda notified the previous lessee and they did not service the car or had it improperly serviced. Otherwise I see no reason to have a car fall apart at 45,000 miles. I drive like grandma.

I was involved in accident due to the weather . I slide off ice and crash into a guard rail and light pole and my vehicle failed to deploy the airbags . I was not going fast due to weather. The seat belt worked probably which jammed after the impact, but my airbag warning light appear on dash board, but no airbags deployed which worries me. It’s in a collision shop now getting observed .

On 9/30/2022 My son was driving his car on the freeway. The truck in front of him slammed on their brakes suddenly. My son slammed on his brakes but slid into the back of the truck in front of him. The car sustained moderate front end damage and was not able to be driven. The airbags do not deploy and a "airbag malfunction" light came on in his car. My son sustained only minor injuries and did not require medical assistance. I spoke with Honda regarding the malfunction light and the airbags nor deploying and was told that was normal which does NOT seem right.

On 10/15/2022 our 2015 Honda Civic Coupe vehicle was in a front end collision at 70 mph. NONE of the airbags deployed. The vehicle is at my insurance company wrecking yard and would be available for inspection, if needed. My 16 year old son had injuries including a concussion and whiplash due to the air bags not deploying. The police, firefighters, paramedics, hospital doctors, and my insurance company ALL say that the airbags should have absolutely deployed. There were no warning lamps or messages that alerted us there was any concern before the accident.

ABS BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE AND UNABLE TO STEER VEHICHLE CAUSING ACCIDENT. FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY FOR FRONT PASSENGER. If THE PASSENGER DID NOT MOVE HIS HEAD WHEN HE DID AND DRIVER THEY BOTH LIKELY WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IN THE ACCIDENT. WHEN THIS VEHICHLE WAS PURCHASED AT THE CARMAX DEALERSHIP LESS THAN 60 DAYS AGO, IT WAS ASSURED OF NO ISSUES, HOWEVER IT DID HAVE LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNINGS AND THEY PUT AIR IN TIRES AT THE TIME OF TEST DRIVE, I HAVE READ SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD LOW TIRE WARNING / ABS ISSUES PRIOR TO ABS FAILURES AND WISH THIS TO BE INVESTIGATED. THIS IS SUSPICIOUS.

As the vehicle continued to spin, her son lost all control of the vehicle as the rear bumper hit a cement barrier. The airbags did not deploy upon impact. Her son was cut out of the vehicle to the accident; however, he did not sustain any injuries or need medical attention. A police report was filed at the scene. The vehicle was destroyed due to the accident and was towed to an independent tow yard. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was a total loss. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000

THE CAR HAD BEEN HIT SO HARD IT GOT HIT INTO A BUSH CAUSING FRONTAL DAMAGE TO AND SEVERE REAR DRIVER DAMAGE.

II HAD PULLED OUT OF A PARKING LOT AND WAS PREPARING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. TO ALLOW AN ONCOMING CAR TO PASS, I STOPPED IN THE INTERSECTION. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME WAS FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY, AND HIT MY REAR BUMPER. UPON IMPACT, MY CAR SUDDENLY REVVED AND ACCELERATED TO PERHAPS 20-30 MPH. I PRESSED HARDER ON THE BRAKE, BUT THE ACCELERATION CONTINUED. I QUICKLY APPLIED THE HAND BRAKE, AND MY VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP IN THE DRIVEWAY OF A FACING BUSINESS. FORTUNATELY, NO HUMAN OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OCCURRED. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE HONDA DEALER, WHO THOROUGHLY INSPECTED THE APPLICABLE COMPONENTS; THEY COULD FIND NO PROBLEMS, SO THEY CONTACTED HONDA, WHO SUBSEQUENTLY CAME OUT BUT AGAIN COULD FIND NO PROBLEMS. THE DEALERSHIP SUGGESTED THAT I MIGHT HAVE ERRONEOUSLY APPLIED THE ACCELERATOR INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE, BUT I KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT TRUE. I HAVE MANY YEARS OF EXCELLENT DRIVING EXPERIENCE, AND QUICK REACTION TIME. I AM ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE THAT I WAS APPLYING THE BRAKE, AND THAT MY CAR EXPERIENCED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. WITH A SUPPOSED CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH, THIS CAR CONTINUES TO BE MY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. HOWEVER, I ALWAYS HAVE AN UNDERLYING FEAR THAT THIS UNINTENDED ACCELERATION MIGHT OCCUR AGAIN.

IT WAS RAINING, I WENT TO SLOW DOWN AND IT WAS AS IF THE FRONT WHEELS LOCKED UP, TCS BLINKING ON AND OFF, AND THE TIRES REMAINED PULLING AS IF POWER WAS STILL BEING SENT TO THE FRONT TWO, LOCKED UP, TIRES AND I HAD NO CONTROL AS THE CAR PULLED ME STRAIGHT FORWARD INTO THE SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE RESULTING IN A COLLISION THAT HAD ME HIT A STOPPED CAR SO HARD IT SPUN THE OTHER CAR AROUND AND TOTALED MY CAR. THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD, JUMPING THE CURBED SIDEWALK AND STOPPED WHEN IT CRASHED INTO THE BRICK WALL OF THE BUILDING. I WAS ABLE TO STEER AWAY FROM THE LARGE WINDOW THAT WAS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. IT WAS NOON AND FORTUNATELY THERE WERE NO CUSTOMERS ON THE SIDEWALK. THE VEHICLE SUFFERED EXTENSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE COSTING $7773 IN REPAIRS. I WAS EVALUATED AT THE SCENE BY AMBULANCE CREW. I HAD AN ELEVATED BLOOD PRESSURE AND A SORE SHOULDER/NECK. THE DEALER'S STAFF AND THE REGIONAL MANAGER INSISTED THAT THIS WAS NOT A FAILURE OF THE VEHICLE, BUT HUMAN ERROR. I KNOW I WAS NOT PRESSING ON THE GAS. THE REGIONAL MANAGER ASKED ME TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO THE CRASH SITE TO DEMONSTRATE FOR HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AS IT WOULD MAKE IT MORE CLEAR TO HIM THAN READING ABOUT IT. I DECLINED THIS LUDICROUS REQUEST! A POLICE REPORT IS AVAILABLE AS WELL AS INSURANCE CLAIMS AND PHOTOGRAPHS.
