TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT TURNED ON THE AIR CONDITIONING AND SMOKE APPEARED FROM THE VENTS. THE CONTACT HAD TO STOP AND EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT ISSUED AN UNINTENTIONAL FIRE REPORT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND ALSO FILED A REPORT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
