The oxygen sensor on my 2015 BMW 535D Diesel has become faulty. BMW has extended the warranty on Oxygen sensor for diesel vehicles to 10 years OR 120,000 miles. My car is still within 10 year threshold, but at 137,000 miles. It seems BMW has set a mileage threshold exactly before the parts start malfunctioning. The faulty oxygen sensors cause very bad fuel consumption. The mileage warranty threshold be lifted or increased.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2015 BMW 535d verdict →
