REAR SPOILER MALFUNCTION APPEARED ON MY SCREEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING ROUGHLY 30 MILES PER HOUR, THEN THE REAR SPOILER BEGAN TO SMOKE WITHIN 60 SECONDS. I PULLED THE CAR OVER TO PARK IT, AND AFTER ANOTHER 100 SECONDS, THE SPOILER CAUGHT FIRE AND WITHIN 180 MORE SECONDS THE WHOLE REAR OF THE CAR WAS ON FIRE. BY THIS TIME THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SHOWED UP AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2015 BMW 328i Xdrive verdict →
