TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHIFTED GEARS INDEPENDENTLY. ON ONE OCCASION, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED OUT OF THE PARK GEAR AND INTO REVERSE, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO A CURB. AS A RESULT, THE TIRE BLEW OUT AND ALSO CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SOFTWARE UPDATE TO THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
