At the time I shut the engine off, the engine was not making catastrophic knocking noises and was not leaking oil heavily. The vehicle was towed to Astorg Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Parkersburg, WV. Before inspection, I specifically instructed dealership personnel not to start the engine because I suspected a serious oil-related issue and wanted to avoid causing additional damage. Despite these instructions, the dealership started and ran the engine anyway. After the dealership started the vehicle, the engine condition reportedly worsened significantly, including severe engine noises and much heavier oil leakage. I was later informed the vehicle would require complete engine replacement, with estimated repair costs ranging from approximately $10,000 to $24,000. At the time of failure, the vehicle was also subject to the unresolved Z46 High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) recall, which had not yet been completed. Vehicle was finally repaired after 2 months, drove for approximately 2 months and less than 400 miles and it failed again showing a code of low fuel pressure the same as last time had vehicle towed back to same dealership after making appointment and they have had it for 2 weeks and still have not even run a diagnostic check and are refusing to offer me a loaner.

My truck was affected by the fuel pump recall brought it to the dealership to have it performed was told fuel pump was bad and contamination occurred was told they will repair the truck as part of the recall. 3 weeks later received a call truck was ready but gave a code for temp sensor that was not covered by recall had to pay $500 for the repair I authorized and was told part was out of stock for a week. after the part was installed i was told the car was ready all codes were cleared and car was good to go. Meanwhile the truck was not road tested after all the repairs were completed. I picked up the car friday 4:30pm went home and the truck lost power again and check engine light and lightning bolt came on. dealer was closed had to tow it to them for them to look at Monday. Got a call stating they retightened everything and told me to come get the car. Meanwhile car was not road tested again! picked up the truck and again after 50 miles same thing again check engine light and loss of power brought it back to the dealer and was told that need to do a cleaning of the engine but to drive the truck and see how it goes. took the truck went to work around 90 miles on the highway smoke starting coming into the cabin truck lost complete power and almost caught fire!! vehicle was in NY had it towed to the nearest station until we speak w dealer to arrange for it to be towed back to CT. Spoke w dealer next morning and was told they have an affiliated dealer in NY to have it towed there and they will look at it. Took it to Manhattan Jeep and was told the dpf sensor had melted and they needed to replace it. Part was on back order for a week. Had them replace it after replacing they told me the truck is still not running correct. I have a highly concerned issue with this vehicle the admissions is terrible the soot that goes into that engine it's ruining it at 138,000 miles my biggest issue is the exhaust gets in the vehicle with all the windows shut and I get sick on that DEF fluid that burns out the exhaust somehow someway it's getting in the vehicle and it's getting me sick I've already brought this to the attention of the manufacturer and he said the motors are junk and they should be recalled immediately this is my second complaint and no results

The Jeep has had major issues with the fuel system. The first reported issue is during the fill the filler would click like it was full when it was in the beginning stages of the fill. It ended up soaking me with gasoline and shutting down a gas station for spill. I filed a complaint with the NHTSA and the Vermont Attorney General because the dealerships were not fixing the problem. The fuel tank was finally repaired when the Attorney General got involved. 2024 the Jeep is again having issues with the fuel system. When the tank is filled to capacity it creates gasoline fumes so strong that it infiltrates the cabin and can be detected from the parking lot. It is really scary to keep having issues with the fuel system. I am shocked after reading on the internet so many Jeep owners with fuel system issues that the vehicles are not on recall. I want to report this because it is a safety issue.

The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the mechanic was not able to restart the vehicle. The contact was then notified that there was no fuel pressure and a fuel system test and injector return test were needed to look for internal fuel damage. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believed that the failure was associated to Manufacturer Recall: W57 or W68. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

My oil cooler has failed and it caused oil to mix with my coolant and also causing a bad coolant leak. It over heats to car and my warranty will not cover ANYTHING! This is a major problem with diesel jeeps and the oil cooler needs to be recalled also. It can catch on fire and is a real safety hazard. I’ve tried multiple times to fix the oil cooler and leak. Jeep will not fix my recall at all. A recall that is on the vehicle and can cause a fire!

Fuel pump failed. Electric control module/system failed. I have been having these problems since 2021. When it first started my car stalled out, completely died, and started rolling (even though I was pressing the brakes) - I had to pull my E brake and luckily stopped an inch away from hitting the car in front of me coming to a stop because the light turned red. My entire car shut down. I had to get a tow. I took it in to a shop and they had no idea really what happened or what it was. They told me a bunch of stuff was bad (thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stuff) and I ended up only getting whatever was absolutely necessary which was the fuel pump and battery. $1300 later it was driving at least. Ever since then my gas gauge has NEVER been accurate and just goes up and down randomly. I have to track my gas by resetting the miles of my “total trip” when I fill up. My dashboard constantly went on and off and I never knew what was accurate and what wasn’t. About 6 months ago my dashboard went completely black and hasn’t came on since. My car is now barley taking over 4 gallons of gas at a time before the auto stop on the pump cuts off. If I try refilling anyways gas overflows. This makes absolutely no sense. I can’t see how fast im going, hear my blinkers go on and off, see how much gas I have, how many miles are on my car, any check engine lights, and now I can’t drive over 75 miles without having to “fill up” my measly 4 gallons again before the pump shuts off. I was never notified of any recalls but there is absolutely no way my car is excluded from them. The electronic control module is fried, I can’t even get gas, and a brand new battery and fuel pump was clearly just a miniature band aid on this disaster chain of problems. I’ve only had this Jeep for like 5 years too and what it’s worth is not even worth a fourth of the cost it would be to fix all of this.

My jeep has been down at Crystler Dodge Jeep Ram dealerships for 2 years. The extended warranty states they would repair problems, but they have not. I was told today that they will only give me 8741 for my car but they want to keep it. I’ve had to go to the hospital twice from the first dealership that had my car for a whole year giving me carbon monoxide poisoning. I’ve been paying full coverage insurance for 2 years. This manufacturer has placed and is placing me in a hardship. They said they would/ coukd repair my car and stayed in writing they would have certified techs working on my car, they had the parts manager working on my car and almost killed me. Now, their leadership is trying to bully me into selling them my car for this low ball amount. Why didn’t they offer to buyback before putting me through 2 years of hell. Is it Leah’s to breach a binding legal contract they agreed to honor. I am aware they are to suffer penalties for not honoring the warranty, and for not keeping databases updated by VIN. I was told my parts weren’t covered for months, I had to constantly show them the warranty said the parts were covered they trying to charge me for. I want my vehicle fixed under the extended warranty. I want compensation for this excessive time, and for them not honoring the consent decree they told the EPA and NHTSA they would honor. Today it is Jan 2024, 19 months after being notified to have repairs made. The JEEP dealer has, for 19 months, told me they cannot a make the repair. The recall notice states "fuel starvation may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle to crash without prior warning". I believe 19 months exceeds the requirement to "remedy the defect within a reasonable time" Is there anything being done to motivate JEEP to remedy the defect? Thank you for your time.

Instead of making them buy the cars back, they let them say they would make all repairs related to this huge list of components. I’ve had nothing but problems the past almost 2 years. My jeep was at one dealership a full year. Now it’s at another dealership in Ennis Texas for about 59 days now. . My jeep went into limp in mode in front of an 18- wheeler on interstate 45, I was almost killed. I was so afraid! I sent a letter requesting they contact the manufacturer as they have said so on the paperwork. I’ve gone to get my car 4 tiles and it’s still not repaired. I get a text message on Saturday telling me my Jeep is fixed and ready? I’m not getting into that vehicle again, my daughter is having nightmares, she’s asked me please don’t drive that car again!
