Engine light is blinking and put safety of my family in danger. I called the close Huyndai dealer also I have a case number. However, it takes forever for them to answer. I only have this car. I am driver and this how I make living. I have no choice in driving this recall vehicle and kill my self and my family. No body care!

THE TAIL LIGHTS ARE FAILING ON MY HYUNDAI. HYUNDAI IS VERY WELL AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND THERE IS SEVERAL ONLINE ACCOUNTS OF IT FROM OTHER OWNERS. THE TAIL LIGHTS FLICKER ON AND OFF RAPIDLY LIKE A HAZARD LIGHT. THIS OCCURS DURING THE DAYTIME WITH THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS AND MOST ESPECIALLY DURING THE NIGHT WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. HYUNDAI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE ISSUE AND REFUSED TO REPLACE THEM DESPITE THE SAFETY HAZARD, CITING THE AGE AND MILEAGE OF MY CAR. HOWEVER, AT THE SAME TIME THE INSTALLED A NEW ENGINE IN THE SAME CAR WITH THE SAME AGE AND MILEAGE.

THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT BULBS LOCATED IN THE TRUNK COMPARTMENT GET EXTREMELY HOT WHICH HAS CAUSED MELTING OF THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY. THIS IS AN EXTREME FIRE HAZARD. IT IS BELIEVED THAT THIS IS CAUSED BY FAULTY WIRING BY HYUNDAI. SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN 2015, I HAVE REPLACED APPROXIMATELY 20 BULBS.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2014 Hyundai Sonata verdict →
