Driving on city & highway, driver side selt belt will release itself multiple times. On a daily drive to work 12 miles at least 2-3 times! I can be at a stop and literally wiggle it loose and releases. I have researched it online through multiple platforms there's over a 100+ hyundai owners with the same problem. Please look into this issue! I have 3 children 1 is gonna start driving soon. (2014 hyundai accent) Thank you!

The driver's seat belt unbuckles randomly while driving. This issue seems to be more prevalent depending on the seat position and dimensions of the driver. For me, a woman who uses the back of the seat in a more upright position, it seems to happen more often than for my husband, who uses the seat more reclined. Nevertheless, it has happened to him as well.

The seatbelt unbuckles on its own when driving. It is happening each time my husband or I drive the vehicle. I’m concerned that the seatbelt will unbuckle in case of a collision. I’ve been looking online, and the 2014 Hyundai Accent does not have any reported issues with the seatbelt that I can find. I have not yet taken the vehicle for inspection, but I’m not sure what to do next. No lamps are lighting up to indicate this problem. It just happens randomly at any speed.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2014 Hyundai Accent 5 verdict →
