TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED WITH THE VEHICLE ENGAGED IN THE ACCESSORY MODE, SHE WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE GEAR SHIFTER INTO REVERSE, CAUSING HER TO CRASH INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES BUT THEY DID NOT RESPOND. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE BRAKES WOULD BE INSPECTED BUT THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO BE FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE BODY DAMAGES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,600. *TR
