SUBJECT: URGENT COMPLAINT: Deceptive Practices/Misrepresentation & Services Not Rendered (Woodhouse Ford of Omaha) I. Actionable Safety Issue Summary This complaint concerns fraudulent billing and dangerous misrepresentation by Woodhouse Ford of Omaha, which claimed a vehicle's 3rd rack and pinion system was "safe" on 2/19/2026 after a known safety issue, following a previous failure. They further charged $219.22 for unrendered/improper ABS programing repairs that was not successful because the electric rack and pinion is defective on 3/5/2026 and fabricated invoice records to shift liability. II. Parties Involved •Consumer: [XXX] •Dealer/Service Provider: Woodhouse Ford of Omaha, Service Manager Jeremy Sullivan, Technician Anthony Rubio. •Financial Institution: First National Bank of Omaha (Regulated by OCC). III. Nature of the Dispute 1.Safety Hazard/Misrepresentation (2/19/2026): Service Manager Jeremy Sullivan and Tech Anthony Rubio stated the vehicle’s rack and pinion was "safe" despite a prior failure. This misrepresentation has left me with a vehicle that has had the rack and pinion fail or require replacement three times in under a year. 2.Services Not Rendered (3/5/2026): Charged $219.22 for "programming the ABS module" which was not rendered or not performed correctly. 3.Fabricated Documentation: Woodhouse Ford created fraudulent service invoices stating I diagnosed the ABS fault and declined further diagnosis. This is an attempt to evade liability for ongoing, dangerous defects. IV. Regulatory Violations & Requested Action The described actions violate consumer protection laws, including: •Dodd-Frank UDAAP (12 USC § 5536): Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices. •Fair Credit Billing Act (15 USC § 1666): Billing error/services not received. •Regulation E (12 CFR 1005.11): Procedures for resolving errors. Requested Action: Initiate an investigation into Woodhouse Ford of Omaha’s service practices and safety diagnostics. My 2014 Ford Fusion caught fire on January 19, 2026, while parked and stationary inside my residential garage. The vehicle could not be shifted out of park during the incident. Emergency services responded, and an official fire department report was generated. I had owned the vehicle for less than one year and performed no mechanical, electrical, or aftermarket modifications. The vehicle had undergone parking brake service at a licensed dealer prior to delivery, with no work performed after I took possession.

The charger for the plug-in hybrid component of the vehicle started a fire that damaged my property and vehicle. Ford failed to provide a replacement of the recalled charger, including when vehicle was at dealerships, despite my request at the time. Had I not noticed the fire immediately, it likely would have been catastrophic. Fortunately, I was able to use all of a full fire extinguisher to put it out. I contacted Ford about this matter and was told by their corporate customer service that they had no information or assistance of any kind to provide me. I requested a manager call me however I have not received a call back.

THE CHARGE MELTED, ALMOST CAUGHT FIRE THE ELECTRICAL 110 VOLT GFI REPT IN MY GARAGE. I CREATED A CASE WITH FORD AND THEY SAY TOO BAD CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. MY WIFE AND 20 MONTH OLD SON WERE IN THE HOUSE WHEN THE REPT STARTED SMOKING. I COULD HAVE LOST MY FAMILY AND MY HOME. FORD SAYS NO ISSUES AND THEY CANNOT HELP OR DO ANYTHING. IF YOU GO TO MYFORD MOBILE AND TYPE IN FUSION MELTING REPTS TO PAGES OF OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM HAVE MADE COMMENTS. THE CAR IS AT BIG VALLEY FORD IN STOCKTON AND THEY CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHY IT HAS MELTED A GFI REPT. THE ARE IS UNSAFE AND POSES A LIFE THREATENING RISK TO MY FAMILY IF I PLUG IT IN TO CHARGE, THE ENTIRE POINT OF PURCHASING THIS CAR. I PURCHASED A NEW-TO-ME 2014 FORD FUSION FROM GERMAIN FORD IN COLUMBUS OHIO ON 2/2/18. ON THE 2ND DAY I HAD THE CAR THERE WAS A LIGHT SNOW STORM, A FEW INCHES, I AM A WONDERFUL DRIVER WITH A CLEAN RECORD. I WENT TO PULL OUT OF MY STREET AND I LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR. I THOUGHT IT WAS ICE UNTIL I STOPPED AT A LIGHT & MY WHEELS STARTED SPINNING AND I COULD HARDLY MAINTAIN CONTROL. I FELT LIKE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TAKING OVER AND I WAS FIGHTING IT AS I KEPT SLIDING. THIS WENT ON THE ENTIRE TWO MILES TO WORK. I'D NEVER BEEN MORE TERRIFIED. I'VE DRIVEN IN SNOW AND ICE FOR 20 YEARS AND THIS IS MY 6TH FORD AND I HAD NEVER BEEN SO AFRAID OF A CAR. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS A ONE TIME ISSUE, MAYBE IT REALLY WAS JUST A STRANGE ONE TIME THING? BUT ON SUNDAY 3/25/18 IT WAS RAINING HERE IN COLUMBUS AND I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40-45 MPH ON A WET ROAD AND MY CAR STARTED ACTING LIKE IT DID IN THE SNOW, BUT THIS TIME I LOST TOTAL CONTROL OF THE CAR TC CAME ON AND ONCE AGAIN I COULD NOT CONTROL MY CAR AND THE WHEEL JERKED TO THE RIGHT CAUSING US TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL. THE BACK PASSENGER TIRE HIT A CURB, WE SPUN AROUND AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HIT THE CURB AND WE WENT INTO A GRASSY AREA COMING PRETTY CLOSE TO A POLE AND AN APARTMENT BLDG. I ENDED UP WITH A FLAT TIRE, BENT RIM, I NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT, THE PAINT IS SCRATCHED UNDER MY CAR, AND I NEED A NEW BARING ON THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE. ALSO - I FOUND OUT THERE WAS AROUND 5 INCHES OF WATER IN MY TRUNK DUE TO A BROKEN SEAL. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER & I BEGGED THEM TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG. RIGHT NOW THEY CLAIM NOTHING IS WRONG BUT THEY ARE FIXING THE LEAK & THE DAMAGE. I PAID FOR A NEW TIRE. I AM BEYOND TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN. I HAVE NEVER LOST CONTROL OF A CAR BEFORE AND NOW I HAVE IN THIS CAR - TWICE IN LESS THAN A MONTH. SOMETHING IS VERY VERY WRONG. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS. I JUST WANT A SAFE CAR.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, IT CAUGHT ON FIRE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT NOTICED FLAMES AND SMOKE AFTER THE DOOR WAS OPENED. THE SEAT WAS BURNED. THE FIRE EXTINGUISHED ON ITS OWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FIRE WAS DUE TO AN OUTSIDE SOURCE; HOWEVER, THE POLICE REPORT AND INSURANCE COMPANY DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY FAULTY WIRING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,000.

DROVE THE CAR DOWN A MOUNTAIN ROAD AND SOMEHOW MANAGED TO REGENERATE 29 MILES ON THE BATTERY. THOUGHT THAT VERY STRANGE AS THE HIGHEST CHARGE OR REGEN ACHIEVED PRIOR TO THIS SHOWED 24 MILES AND DID NOT THINK THE BATTERY COULD HOLD THAT MUCH. RETURNED HOME ABOUT 9:30PM WITH AN EMPTY PLUG-IN CHARGE. AT APPROXIMATELY 9:50PM PLUGGED IN THE CAR FOR CHARGING USING THE 120V FORD PHEV CHARGER SUPPLIED WITH THE VEHICLE. AT APPROXIMATELY 3AM AWOKE SMELLING ELECTRICAL FIRE. FOLLOWED THE SMELL TO THE GARAGE AND DISCOVERED THAT THE PHEV CHARGER PLUG HAD COMPLETELY BURNED UP ALONG WITH THE OUTLET RECEPTACLE, PLASTIC RECEPTACLE BOX AND SOME OF THE STUD THE RECEPTACLE BOX WAS ATTACHED TO. SOMEHOW THE ATTACHED GARAGE STRUCTURE DID NOT BECOME ENGULFED; RATHER, THE FIRE WENT OUT SOMEHOW BY ITSELF. UNPLUGGED THE CHARGER FROM THE CAR AT 3:11AM AND MADE SURE THE PANEL CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS COMPLETELY IN THE OFF POSITION. LOOKED AT THE ANDROID MYFORD APP AND DISCOVERED THAT AT 2:27AM THE CAR SENT A MESSAGE "SCHEDULED CHARGE DID NOT BEGIN - EXTERNAL FAULT." THE APP ALSO REPORTED THE FOLLOWING AT 3:11AM, YOUR VEHICLE HAD AN ACCIDENTAL UNPLUG WHILE CHARGING.' HOWEVER, THE CAR APPEARED TO BE FULLY CHARGED. THROUGH THE PROCESS OF INVESTIGATING THE FIRE WITH THE INSURANCE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CHARGER PLUG IS WHERE THE FIRE STARTED.
