On May 2, 2018, the vehicle was brought to a local Ford dealer where they "corrected" the open recalls. In February 2020, my wife was involved in a motor vehicle accident on the interstate. There was a construction zone that brought traffic to a stop and she was rear-ended by an SUV at speeds between 45-60 MPH totaling the vehicle while it was at a stop. She was the only occupant and was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the cash. The airbags did not deploy and the driver seatbelt did not lock causing her head to strike the steering wheel. She didn't remember if she lost consciousness or not, however, she was later diagnosed with a concussion. The vehicle has since been totaled and was taken into possession by the insurance company. I am unaware of any inspection of the seatbelt that was performed after the crash. I do possess photographs of the vehicle. There were no warning lights active prior to the crash.
