Car stalls and have had three car accidents and ford refused to pay for gas tank isoes and car does not start after it is used for a few mins. There is a serious mileage fluctuations and ford dealership tefises to repair failed recall and claim ford Corp will not pay for repairs so that is nothing to be seen. Car has been seen 3 ties after failed repair and ford will nit take any responsibility for tevlls that didn't work.. Ford might offered some repair program but honoring it is another matter. Ford is aware of car accidents and claim they rather be sues then Repair car.

My 2014 Ford Focus Titanium experiences bucks and jerking on a daily basis. I will be making turns crossing large streets and I will have a chance to go and when I do the car will stall and the power will come back almost getting me killed by oncoming traffic. Also at red lights or stop signs I will stop and then press the gas only to have the car go a little and then stall or jerk/buck in which the person behind me (especially at red lights) thinks I'm going and goes only to have me stop and then they almost hit my back (I actually had one person tap my back bumper but thank Jesus I was ok). Also on the highway doing 55-70 MPH and I press the gas to move a lane or go forward more the car will drop gears and stall causing the cars behind me to almost hit me and honk. This is not too mention the slips and bucks the transmission causes on the daily which are just annoying. This is extremely dangerous! I have given my wife my Nissan Rogue and taken the Ford Focus as I don't feel safe letting her (or myself) drive it. And the transmission has been replaced as well as the clutch before and most recent the car wouldn't go in reverse and they fixed the TCM. It is now known that Ford KNEW about these issues and did nothing! I'm afraid one day I will die in an accident and it will be because of this transmission but we don't have the money to get rid of the car we already paid off. And no one wants to buy this junker as we've tried to sell it! I don't know what to do as this is unbelievable?!

Transmission is overheated, burning smell, the car lost control, start zigzagging on the high way , and got into an accident, I was injured, and lost my job. The CarMax dealership, refused to take care of a car, or even take it back, because of the safety issues. Then, second time, the transmission slips on acceleration at starts and on highways. It feels like it's the transmission is in neutral. For the third time, the car was jerking and going forward and backward , that the transmission would slip badly, even totally disengage. I was getting on a very busy road and accelerated and suddenly the car decelerated; the car behind me almost rear ended me, honked his horn, but there was nothing I could do. As you can see, the problem been reproduced and confirmed by an independent service center as a non-safe to drive. But CarMax dealership ignoring the issues regardless.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 FORD FOCUS THAT SHE PURCHASED FROM PACIFICO FORD, INC.(6701 ESSINGTON AVE, PHILADELPHIA, PA 19153). SHE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WITHOUT WARNING SOON AFTER PURCHASE. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND AFTER A WEEK, THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE CONTACT. UPON RETURN OF THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK WITHOUT WARNING. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE SLAMMED INTO A BARRIER AND FLIPPED OVER INTO SLOPE AND LANDED INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. THE CONTACT WAS ASSISTED BY A BYSTANDER AND WAS TAKEN OUT OF HER VEHICLE. THE AUTHORITIES ARRIVED AT THE SCENE AND THE CONTACT WAS TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL TO BE TREATED FOR HER INJURIES. SINCE THE ACCIDENT, THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE WAS TREATED FOR A CONCUSSION, FOUR DIFFERENT BRAIN INJURIES, A BROKEN NECK, A BROKEN UPPER AND MIDDLE BACK, A BROKEN LEFT HIP DISC, AND A BROKEN LEFT KNEE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AT THE SCENE AND WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT REMAINED IN THERE POSSESSION. THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THERE WERE TWO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AND 20V331000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000.

WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND ON THE HIGHWAY MY CAR LURCHES MULTIPLE TIMES AND I'M UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED MANY CAR ACCIDENTS AND TERRIFIES ME EVERY TIME I DRIVE.THE LURCHING HAS ALSO LOOSENED PARTS OF MY CAR AND FEELS LIKE PARTS OF MY CAR COULD FALL OFF AT ANYTIME. MY ENGINE ALSO HAS ISSUES AND I'VE HAD TO STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AT LEAST TWICE NOW DUE TO THE ENGINE OVERHEATING. I HAVE NEVER FELT SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR. I'VE TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES SINCE THE FIRST WEEK I BOUGHT THE CAR COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION AND THE EMPLOYEES KEPT TELLING ME THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V514000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,999.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 30 MPH MY VEHICLE STALLED AND LOST COMPLETE POWER. I WAS NEARLY INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, BUT FORTUNATELY THE ALERT DRIVERS AROUND ME WERE ABLE TO BRAKE IN TIME. A FRIENDLY SAMARITAN HELPED TO PUSH MY VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THANKFULLY I WAS PHYSICALLY OKAY, BUT EMOTIONALLY NOT SO MUCH. I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2014 FORD FOCUS OFF OF THE LOT AND HAVE SINCE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES. I'M STILL PAYING ON THE VEHICLE TODAY AND NOW IT IS NOT IN USE UNLESS I CAN COME UP WITH 2,500.00 TO REPAIR THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM. THIS SYSTEM SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED AT ONLY 67,000 MILES. THERE IS AN ISSUED RECALL ON SIMILAR FORD VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM 2013-2015 WHICH IS THE SAME TIME FRAME IN WHICH MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED. AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO COME TO A RESOLUTION THROUGH FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY WON'T EVEN OFFER INFORMATION ON THE TYPE OF FUEL SYSTEM USED ON THE VEHICLES WITH THE RECALL BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO BE LIABLE FOR THIS DEFECT. I'M OUT OF A VEHICLE AT 67,000 MILES AND HAVE NO CONSUMER PROTECTION. IT'S SCARY TO READ ABOUT THE 100'S OF PEOPLE WHO EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME FUEL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION AT SIMILAR MILEAGE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS IMMEDIATELY. IN ADDITION, SINCE I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN JERKY AND I CAN'T EVEN ACCELERATE ONTO A HIGHWAY. FORD HAD VEHEMENTLY DENIED THAT IT WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE MANUFACTURER TRANSMISSION AND YET SINCE THEY HAVE ISSUED A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION, BUT NOW TELL ME I'M TOO FAR PAST MY WARRANTY(WHICH WAS ONLY 7,000 MILES AGO) I'M HEARTBROKEN BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO REPAIR THIS SORT OF SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY KNOWING IT IS A DEFECT ON THEIR PART.

ANOTHER PROBLEM AT 40000 MILES A CAR PULLES INTO MY PATH CAUSING ME TO SLAM INTO THE SIDE OF THERE CAR AT 45 MPH WITH NO TIME TO STOP MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY CAUSING ME TO SMASH FACE OF WINDSHIELD AND SEAT BELT WAS FASTENED TOLD DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS THEY SAID THE CAR HAS A SMART AIRBAG THAT CALCULATES THE RATE OF DECELERATION OF WHEN TO DEPLOY AIRBAGS NOT SURE HOW 45 MPH TO 0MPH IS NOT ENOUGH DECELERATION.

FOCUS 2014 BEEN IN THE DEALER SHIP IN FAIRFAX..TED'S FOR OVER A MONTH NOW .I CALLED 4 TIMES AND NO ONE ANSWERS MY CALLS OR RETURN THEM...I DON'T NEED THE CAR ANY MORE SINCE I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER ONE..I SHAKES WHEN EVER YOU IT STARTS MOVING VERY VIOLENTLY AND CONSTANTLY STALL FOR NO REASON IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE AND HAVE SOME SOUNDS THAT THE WHOLE ENGINE IS ABOUT TO BREAK...THE SEAT BELT DON'T WORK ALL THE TIME OR THE AIR BAGS OFFEN START BEEPING ON THE DASH BORD...IT'S BEEN A REALLY RUFF RIDE FOR A CAR THAT HAS LESS THEN 30000 LIMES ON IT...IT'S BEEN A REAL PROBLEM AND HEADACHE SINCE I GOT IT...RETURNED IT TO CHECK FEW TIME BUT NOTHING...CAN THEY PAY FOR MY CAR VALUE??? THE VEHICLE HAS WENT INTO REVERSE ON 3 OCCASIONS WHILE THE GEAR STICK SELECTOR IS IN THE DRIVE POSITION. ONE INCIDENT IT WENT INTO REVERSE, STRIKING A PEDESTRIAN CAUSING INJURY. ON ANOTHER IT WENT INTO REVERSE WHILE ON A FREEWAY, THEN CAME TO A CRAWL AND STOPPED. FORD SENT OUT THEIR FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN AND SAID THAT AN ENGINE CRANKSHAFT SEAL WAS LEAKING (IN ADDITION TO THE CLUTCH SEALS THAT HAD BEEN REPLACED FOR LEAKAGE EARLIER). THE DEALER SAYS THAT THESE LEAKS ARE COMMON AND CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION TO EXHIBIT ERRATIC BEHAVIOR, INCLUDING GOING INTO REVERSE. ACCORDING TO THE FORD DISPUTE RESOLUTION DEPARTMENT, THEY COULD FIND NO ABNORMAL CODES IN THE COMPUTER OF THE CAR - WHICH COULD BE A WHOLE OTHER DEFECT IN ITSELF. FORD REFUSES TO PROVIDE ME PAPERWORK ON THE TECHNICIAN'S REPORT/REVIEW OF THE VEHICLE AND CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN, NOR WILL THEY VERIFY THAT THE FIXES ARE SAFE. FORD WAS "UNABLE TO DUPLICATE" THE TRANSMISSION GOING IN REVERSE DURING THEIR 7 MILE TEST DRIVE. A PERSON AT THE DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THAT THEY TRY NOT TO DRIVE THE CARS VERY FAR AND WITH A COLD TRANSMISSION SO THAT THE ISSUES ARE NOT PREVALENT AND CANNOT BE DUPLICATED AND THEY WILL NOT HAVE TO DIAGNOSE ANYTHING. THEY ALSO VERIFIED THAT THEY HAVE A LOT OF ISSUES WITH THESE VEHICLES, AND WITH FORD IN GENERAL TRYING TO AUTHORIZE REPAIRS. I FEEL THAT SOMETHING AS SERIOUS AS THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE "DUPLICATED" IN ORDER TO HAVE A FIX LOOKED INTO. I WISH WE WERE ABLE TO FORM A PETITION WITH THE NHTSA TO FILE A FORMAL INVESTIGATION INTO THE SAFETY PRACTICES OF FORD AND THE SAFETY OF THESE PARTICULAR DPS6 TRANSMISSIONS. SEARCH FORD FIESTA 2011-2014 AND FORD FOCUS 2012-2014 ON THE NHTSA - THEY ARE ALL MADE WITH THE SAME TRANSMISSION TECHNOLOGY. I HAVE FILED A LEMON LAW COMPLAINT WITH MY STATE, WHO SEEMED VERY FRUSTRATED WITH FORD.

THIS IS NEW ACCIDENT THAT OCCURRED. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED AND DRIVING HOME STARTED LOOSING POWER, SHIFTING HARD, NOT ACCELERATING, JERKING, THE TRANSMISSION SEAMS TO WANT TO FALL APART, SHUTTERING, BANGING. I WAS ALMOST HIT WHEN THE POWER CUT OUT ON HIGHWAY. THEN WHEN I GET IN CITY, THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN LOST POWER, AND I WAS ALMOST HIT, CAR HAD TO SWERVE, THEN JOLTED AND SKIPPED IN INTERSECTION. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO FORD DEALER, THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL AND WERE EXTREMELY RUDE AND NEGATIVE. I TOOK IT TO A SECOND FOR DEALER AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THERE WERE OPEN RECALLS AND THEY REPROGRAMMED THE TRANSMISSION AND THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED NEW CLUTCHES. THEY SAID THEY WILL ORDER AND IT COULD TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS. THE REPROGRAMMING MADE THE VEHICLE SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE. UNSAFE. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AGAIN, THEY SAID IT WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO UNTIL THEY GET THE PART. I CONTACTED FORD MANUFACTURE. THEY INFORMED ME THEY WILL CONTACT THE DEALER. IT HAS BEEN TWO MONTHS AND THE DEALER, I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER 13 TIMES AND THEY INFORM ME IT WOULD BE SEVERAL MORE MONTHS, I CONTACT FORD MANUFACTURE AND THEY SAID THAT WHAT THERE TELLING ME IS INCORRECT AND THEY WILL CALL THEM. AGAIN, MONTHS INTO DRIVING AND UNSAFE CAR, THAT THEY KNOW IS UNSAFE, TWO DEALERS AND FORD INVOLVED I CANNOT GET ANY HELP EVEN WHEN THEY SAY THE CAR IS BROKEN. SO I'M DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AT LOW SPEED THREE DAYS AGO, TURING LEFT, IN RAIN AND GRAVEL AND THE THE TRANSMISSION SPUTTER, LOSES POWER, THEN JOLTS AND SKIPS INTO THE CURB. DAMAGING MY RIM, TIRE WAS SCRAPED AND MADE MY ALIGNMENT WORSE. I CALLED CSPD TO FILE POLICE REPORT AND NO OTHER PROPERTY OR CURB DAMAGE THEY DO NOT COME OUT. THIS AGAIN SCARED ME AND I SOLD THE CAR LAST NIGHT BECAUSE IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AND I COULD NOT GET FOR TO FIX IT. LOOSING SIGNIFICANT MONETARY TAXES, FEES, PRICE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING AT 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED. IN ADDITION, THE ACCELERATOR WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED IN EXCESS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND AS THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED IN EXCESS, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE GEARS IN THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

AFTER DRIVING INTO HOUSTON LAST YEAR, CAME TO A STOP LIGHT ON THE TOLLWAY. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE ENGINED REVVED HIGH FOLLOWED BY A METAL "CLAPPING/CLANKING" NOISE WHEN VEHICLE CHANGED GEARS. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR, BUT CAR STILL ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. I ENDED UP RUNNING INTO A CURB TO KEEP FROM HITTING OTHER VEHICLES. THE NEXT DAY, GOING UP A PARKING GARAGE AT 2-5MPH, TRANSMISSION EXHIBITED ERRATIC MOVEMENT AND HAD A SUDDEN ACCELERATION IN REVERSE (GEARSHIFT WAS IN THE "DRIVE" SLOT). A GIRL WAS PASSING BEHIND ME AND WAS STRUCK AS I WAS REACTING TO THE SUDDEN CHANGE IN DIRECTION TRYING TO BRAKE. SHE PUT HER HANDS OUT TO PUSH HERSELF AWAY AND HER RING SCRATCHED MY BACK BUMPER AND HER HAND DENTED IN MY BACK LICENSE PLATE. HER HAND WAS TURNING RED AND BRUISED, BUT SHE REFUSED TO LEAVE HER INFO WITH ME (SHE LOOKED TO BE ABOUT 15). SERVICE DEALERS IN HOUSTON COULD NOT "REPLICATE" PROBLEM AND SAID THIS IS "NORMAL." AFTER THIS INCIDENT, MY HIGHWAY MPG'S HAVE DROPPED FROM 35-42MPG TO NO MORE THAN 27MPG. CITY WENT FROM 26-30 TO NO MORE THAN 24MPG. DROVE TO AUSTIN IN APRIL, STRONG HESITATION AND "STUTTERING" FROM A COMPLETE OR NEAR STOP. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, IT FEELS JUMPY. VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN BETWEEN 5-20MPH, AND 45-55MPH. I DRIVE ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS WHERE SPEED IS 20MPH AND I WILL HAVE TO PUT CAR INTO NEUTRAL TO KEEP IT FROM ACCELERATING. I TOOK THIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AT AROUND 100 MILES - THEY GAVE ME A PRINTOUT FROM FORD SHOWING WHY THIS BEHAVIOR IS "NORMAL" AND WILL GET BETTER WITH MORE MILEAGE. AT AROUND 6000 MILES AT THE DEALERSHIP IN HOUSTON AFTER INJURING SOMEONE, THEY SAID IT WAS "NORMAL" FOR THIS VEHICLE TO EXHIBIT "UNDESIRABLE CONDITIONS" AND I JUST NEED TO FURTHER BREAK IN THE TRANSMISSION. NOW THE PROBLEM IS EVEN WORSE, AND MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP SAYS IT WILL TAKE AT LEAST 2 WEEKS IN THE SHOP.
