MY NEW SS WAS MODIFIED WITH HAND CONTROLS. I WAS GOING INTO A TURN AT 50MPH AND MY KNEE GOT CAUGHT BEHIND THE HAND CONTROLS NOT ALLOWING ME TO PUSH MY BRAKES IN GOING AROUND A TURN. I HIT THE CURB TAKING OUT TWO TREES THEN HITTING A THIRD TREE TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. THE FRONT END OF MY CAR IS NOW GONE WITH THE RADIATOR PUSHED INTO THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE IS TOTALED AND NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AT ALL. NOT EXACTLY SURE WHEN THE ENGINE CUT OFF BUT WHEN I CAME TO A STOP IT WAS NO LONGER RUNNING AND ONSTAR AUTOMATICALLY CAME ON ASKING IF EVERYONE WAS OK SINCE THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN IN A CRASH. LUCKILY ME AND MY FRIEND RIDING ALONG WERE NOT INJURED. *TR

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2014 Chevrolet Ss verdict →
