RAN OVER SOMETHING ON THE HIGHWAY IN YARIS RENTAL CAR. THE FUEL TANK WAS PUNCTURED / OR RUPTURED AS THERE WAS A LONG CRACK IN IT AND FUEL POURED OUT. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF HIGHWAY TO A GAS STATION (~ 1/4 - 1/2 MI) WHERE I PARKED AND WE EXITED CAR. ADDITIONAL FUEL RAN OUT QUICKLY (GALLONS?). REPORTING BECAUSE OF FUEL TANK / SAFETY ISSUE. STRENGTH? VULNERABLE LOCATION? *TR

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2013 Toyota Yaris verdict →
