TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 CHRYSLER 300C. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE SKIDDED OFF THE ROAD AND CRASHED INTO SOME TREES. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES OF THE VEHICLE WERE MANGLED AND THE REAR AXLE WAS TWISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE CONTACT'S SPOUSE, WHO WAS DRIVING, WAS INJURED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SALVAGE YARD. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
