TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 BUICK VERANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE DRIVER WAS STOPPED AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, ANOTHER VEHICLE COMING FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION CROSSED OVER AND CRASHED INTO THE VEHICLE HEAD ON. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT ONSTAR FAILED TO ALERT. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED FRACTURED RIB AND KNEE INJURIES ALONG WITH A SHOULDER INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. A UNKNOWN DEALER WAS LATER NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE WHEN INTERESTED IN THE PURCHASE OF A NEW VEHICLE. BOTH THE VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THE COLLISON WERE DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.

2013 BUICK VERANO. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT MALFUNCTION DURING A REAR END COLLISION. CONSUMER HAS PREVIOUS CORRESPONDENCE WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE IN ARTEMIS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE SEAT BELT DID NOT LOCK INTO PLACE AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *JB
