WE HAD OUR BRAKES REPLACED AT LAND ROVER. TWO WEEKS LATER, WHILE DRIVING ON I95 THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WENT ON WITH NO WARNING CAUSING US TO GET HIT FROM BEHIND BY A TRUCK. BOTH OF MY CHILDREN WERE IN THE CAR. THE CAR WAS SMASHED WITH ALL OF THE BACK WINDOWS BREAKING AND GLASS GOING EVERYWHERE. THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS HURT BUT THIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A FATALITY. LAND ROVER DID A DIAGNOSTIC AND WE WERE JUST CALLED AND TOLD THAT THEIR TEAM IN THE UK COULD NOT REPLICATE THE MALFUNCTION. THEY WILL PROVIDE NO EXPLANATION OR HELP IN ANY WAY. *TR

STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT BEHIND ANOTHER VEHICLE, WHEN THE ENGINE SUDDENLY REVVED AND THE VEHICLE TOOK OFF. THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN WITH A FOOT ALREADY ON THE BRAKE- WE CONTINUED TO PUSH ON THE BRAKE AND VEERED OFF TO THE SIDE BUT CLIPPED THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF US. IT WAS LIKE WE HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE. *TR

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2012 Land Rover Lr4 (7 Seat) verdict →
