TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI GENESIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS IN REVERSE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A POST BUT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. THE POLICE WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND SENT AN INVESTIGATOR TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE INVESTIGATION CONCLUDED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE AND WOULD SEND THE CONTACT A FORMAL LETTER WITH THE DETAILS OF THE INVESTIGATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 905. UPDATED 3/13/13 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED UPON REVERSING THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND HIT THE BACK OF THE HOUSE. THE CONSUMER TRIED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE JUMPED, THEN IT ACCLERATED INTO THE FLOWER BED AND FENCE. 04/02/2013 *JS
