TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 BMW S100 RR MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER:12V177000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING: ENGINE) AND WAS SERVICED UNDER THE RECALL. AFTER THE REPAIRS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 2,100.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 BMW S1000RR MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE RIDING 55 MPH, THE CONNECTING ROD PUNCHED A HOLE THROUGH THE ENGINE BLOCK CAUSING OIL AND ANTIFREEZE TO LEAK ALL OVER THE CONTACT AND THE ROAD. IN ADDITION, THE OIL LEAKED ON THE REAR TIRES CAUSING THEM TO SEIZE AND THE CONTACT ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MERGED THE VEHICLE OFF THE HIGHWAY WHERE IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK AND BACK AS A RESULT OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT HIM WITHIN THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A RETURN CALL FROM THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 800.
