THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT BACK IN OCT 2023. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.

On [XXX], my daughter rear-ended a stopped vehicle while trying to merge. She was driving approximately 60-70mph at the time of impact. The front end of her car was completely smashed and the insurance company deemed it a total loss. Despite the force and speed at impact, her airbags did not deploy. She hit her head on the steering wheel, causing a concussion. She continues to suffer from the effects of the concussion. She is under the car of a neurologist and chiropractor. I contacted Honda to report this on 10.3.2023 and was told to "wait by the phone" because someone would be calling me back immediately as it was a high priority case. The case number is [XXX]. No one has called me. I called back on 10.6.2023 to notify them that the car insurance company was taking possession of the car and was told to take pictures. The contact received a recall notice of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V502000 ( Air Bags) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair. However, the contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the front end of the vehicle crashed into the passenger's side of a construction truck. The air bags failed to deploy, causing the contact's head, left arm, and left breast to hit the steering wheel. The contact was transported to her residence by a police patrol officer. The contact received medical assistance 5 hours later. The contact sustained an inability to bend her left arm, bruises on the knee, and severe pain in the neck, head, and arm. The contact sustained memory loss and confusion. The contact had been receiving physical therapy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000
