got rear ended/t-boned in january 2022 at low rate of speed, started having issues for the first time since 2011, check engine light comes on periodically since the accident, power steering has gone in and out periodically since the accident, engine seems to stumble periodically since March 2022, AC has never worked since 2011, recently (june 3rd 2022) the tire pressure sensor light has come on despite air pressure being adequate in all 4 tires, took car to a collision specialist and they repaired cosmetic damages but cleared 3 codes and did not repair/resolve any of the actual issues affecting drivability and safety because they could not attribute it to the mechanism of accident, took the print out of codes in to my normal mechanic when I got the tires and oil changed June 3rd 2022 and he said if there were no active codes I would have to take it to the dealership, yesterday June 24th 2022 while waiting for a light to change the car pedals suddenly stopped working, car stayed idling at a stop while still in drive, would not work even when shifted into park, drive, or reverse, air still blowed, music still playing, a horrid smell started to fill the car, turned everything completely off and turned hazards on and waited for 2 minutes then turned the car back, car resumed working with tire pressure light still on and smell still coming out of engine. Car now smells constantly of putrid burning plastic/carpet and stumbles frequently, had the car stumbled while at a high rate of speed during rush hour, both mine, my infant son, and the other drivers lives' could've been devastated or lost. These are the codes they reset at time of incident/repair 1) ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM: C1963-20 - STABILITY CONTROL INHIBIT WARNING 2) ACCESORY PROTOCOL INTERFACE MODULE: U3000-04 -CONTROL MODULE - SYSTEM INTERNAL FAILURES 3) POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE: B2278-2F - STEERING SHAFT TORQUE SENSOR MALFUNCTION

"TAKATA RECALL" ON MAY 11TH 2019, MY AUNTIE AND I WERE INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT THAT WAS NO FAULT OF MY OWN. A BLACK TOYOTA STOP IN FRONT OF WHEN US, I HIT THE BRAKES ON IMPACT, THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND BLOWUP IN MY FACE, KNOCKING OUT ONE OF MY CROWNS AND SHIFT MY TEETH, I WENT TO THE DENTIST OFFICE AFTER LEAVING THE HOSPITAL, THE DOCTOR TOLD ME I SWALLOWED PARTICLES AND MY LEFT SIDE OF MY FACE WOULD NOT STOP HURTING, I ALSO LET THE DENTIST KNOW THE AIRBAG BLOWUP IN MY FACE, HE FOUND MY ROOT CANAL WAS FRAMED IN HALF, IN ORDER TO FIX THE PROBLEM I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 12,000.00 OF MY OWN MONEY TO REPAIR THE TOOTH AND OTHER DAMAGE TEETH THAT WERE SHIFTED OR I WOULD LOOSE THEM IN THE FUTURE, I HAVEN'T SMILED SENSE.I WAS DRIVING NORTH BOUND ON HIGHWAY THEY WERE TRAVELING EAST BOUND AT A FOUR WAY CROSSING INTO A GAS STATION.

WHILE DRIVING, THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL ERROR LIGHTS APPEARED ON MY DASH FOLLOWED BY CLICKING NOISES. SHORTLY AFTER MY POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. I WAS MAKING A TURN AT A MODERATE SPEED AND THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING ALMOST CAUSING ME TO CRASH. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE BUT IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AND I STRAINED MYSELF AND PULLED SEVERAL UPPER BODY MUSCLES IN THE PROCESS. I AM A SMALL WOMAN AND WAS BARELY ABLE TO MANUALLY TURN THE WHEEL. I HAVE DETERMINED THAT THE TORQUE SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE BUT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL FOR THIS PART. EVEN THOUGH MY VIN IS NOT SHOWING ITS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECALL. IT IS A 2011 ESCAPE AND I BELIEVE THERE ARE MORE VEHICLES INCLUDING MINE, THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. THE DEFECTIVE PART ALMOST CAUSE A TRAGIC ACCIDENT, AND ALTHOUGH I AVOIDED THAT, I DID INJURE MYSELF IN AN EFFORT TO STEER MY VEHICLE WITHOUT THE ASSIST OF THE POWER STEERING. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE POWER STEERING RANDOMLY ENGAGED TWICE WITHIN A WEEK OF IT ORIGINALLY GOING OUT. BOTH TIMES IT REINGAGED WHILE I WAS TURNING MY VEHICLE AND AGAIN THIS SUDDEN CHANGE ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH. I'VE NOW HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO REPLACE THIS PART AND I FEEL THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE.

I HAVE BEEN IN TWO MINOR ACCIDENTS AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE POWER STEERING FAILING WHILE DRIVE. THE STEERING FAILS ONCE A DAY AND DOES SO, USUALLY WHEN MAKE A HARD OR SHARP TURN. ONCE, THE POWER STEERING DISENGAGED, REVERTING TO MANUEL, WHILE I WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH! FORD REFUSED TO REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE STEALING AFTER MORE THAN 10 CONTACTS WITH THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE AND MULTIPLE FORD DEALERS. THEY REFERRED ME TO THEIR 'LEGAL DEPARTMENT' AND REFUSED TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE STEERING.

SHORTLY AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR THE POWER STEERING STARTED TO RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WILL DRIVING, OFTEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 65 MPH AND ON STREETS AT 35MPH. I HAVE BEEN IN 3 ACCIDENTS AS DIRECT RESULT, LUCKY NO ONE WAS I HIRED. WHEN IT HAPPENS THE STEERING MAKES A LOUD CLICK AND THEN YOU CAN'T MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. IF YOU TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN, THAT SOMETIMES FIXES IT BUT OFTEN TIMES IT WILL IMMEDIATELY CLICK AGAIN AND THE STEERING WILL TURN OFF. FORD STAFF LAUGH SAYING THEY GET LOTS OF COMPLAINTS BUT SAY NOTHING IS BEING DONE AND GIVE ME A BILL FOR 1200 DOLLARS. I ALREADY SPENT 30K ON THE CAR AND I DO T HAVE ANY MORE MONEY TO GIVE FORD SO MY CAR IS WORTHLESS AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. SOMEONE WILL BE KILLED IN THIS CAR, IT REALLY IS DANGEROUS AND PEOPLE WILL DIE, THAT'S A GUARANTEE.

I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT WHEN DRIVING. A CAR SWERVED INTO MY LANE AND THE POWER STEALING GAVE OUT AS I ATTEMPT TO SWERVE INTO ANOTHER LANE FOR SAFETY TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. DEFECTIVE POWER STEERING CAYS ED ACCIDENT AND INJURY. FRAUDULENT CONCEALMENT OF DEFECTS (FORD JUNK CARS RIP OFF ) WENT TO FORD IN NOVEMBER 2016 ABOUT POWER STEARING AFTER THEY REPORTED NUMEROUS TIMES THEIR WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE STEERING. THEY FINALLY TOLD ME, AFTER THE STEERING COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING, THAT THEY ALREADY FIXED THE POWER STEERING IN A PREVIOUS RECALL. LIARS!!!! I HAVE THE RECEIPT FROM THE PREVIOUS VISIT AND NO POWER STEERING WAS FIXED. SAME OLD PART IS IN CAR. AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY$1200 DOLLARS! I CALLED FORD AND THEY SAY THE RECALL EXPIRED AND I NEVER BROUGHT MY CAR IN... IF THAT'S SO WHY DO I HAVE SERVICE RECIEPT. LIARS!
